Do you feel like you are still missing something from this summer? It's probably volunteer work! Good thing for you, we have just the cure. Pioneer Day is coming up on July 24th, 2017 and we would love your help! Pioneer Day is an event in which we bring all sorts of activities and trades relating to the pioneer era to North Park so that people in our community can experience what it would be like to be a pioneer. We are expecting around 3,000 people at this year's event.
Date & Where: July 24th (Pioneer Day) at North Park in Provo (500 N 500 W, Provo , UT 84601)
What time: Volunteers will be needed from 8 am to 4 pm. There will be two separate 4 hour 15 minute shifts that cover these hours. The actual event is 10 am -2 pm.
What to expect: We are asking you to monitor and facilitate different activities throughout the Festival. This may include but is not limited to: helping participants with corn husk dolls, sack races, log sawing, root beer chug, manning the water station, help set and take down the event, etc.
We have two shifts of volunteers for this event. If you choose to volunteer for the the 1st shift 8 am-12:15 pm, you will be included in helping us set up the event and run activities. If you choose to volunteer for the 2nd shift, 12 pm-4 pm, you will be helping us run the activities and take-down. Please plan on attending for your entire shift. On the shift that you are not volunteering for, you are welcome to roam and participate in the event. We also will plan on serving you lunch as a small thank you for helping us at this event.
To ensure that our volunteers are given the knowledge they need in order to do their positions, we hold a volunteer training meeting. Please try your best to make it to this meeting as it for your benefit. There will be a prize for everyone who is present for the meeting before it starts on the hour. Depending on what date works best for volunteers, we may only hold one of the dates listed below.

We would be grateful for your time to make Pioneer Day the best that it can be! We cant run these event without the help of our amazing volunteers.
