Who We Are
The mission of the Provo Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life for all Provo City residents by providing play areas, ball fields, green spaces, trails, wholesome entertainment and fun recreation programs that promote health, fitness, education, cultural awareness, sportsmanship, relationships and appreciation of the outdoors for those of all abilities and ages. The Parks and Recreation Department concentrates on providing a variety of recreational opportunities for youth and adults in the areas of sports, classes, cultural arts, special events, aquatics and senior services as well as upkeep and maintenance of parks, natural areas, trees, ball fields, trails, cemetery and school grounds.
What We Do
Special Events are a chance for you to participate in fun activities for the whole community. Watch your kids gather up eggs at the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Walk cautiously through the spooky maze at the Tricks and Treats Halloween Carnival. Try to win a turkey at the Dart the Turkey Thanksgiving Celebration. And ring in the new year under a shower of fireworks at First Night.
