Looking to help those in need in your community and love children? We know some local disadvantaged families would love your help!
We are a non-profit focused on helping children and families in poverty, with a child suffering from a disability, or those facing some other kind of barrier that would stop their child from succeeding without help from the community. One of the things we provide are classes for parents. This week we will have a class on Conscious Discipline to help parents learn effective ways to promote positive behaviors with their children.
Many of these parents are unable to afford or find a sitter. Some are single parents, or parents that work multiple jobs. Being able to find help with childcare so they can attend these potentially life changing classes can be a huge barrier for many. We are trying to provide childcare for these parents at the event. In our last class, we ran fun arts and crafts with the children! It's a fun event that makes a huge difference for these families and children.
