Instead of running our own race, WBH is now the charity of choice benefitting from Runtastic's Mt. Nebo Marathon & Half on August 27 and responsible for obtaining volunteers to assist with the race and the Family Fun Fair. The race course is down the beautiful Payson Canyon with the finish line, medals, and Family Fun Fair at Memorial Park in Payson.
We are looking for a number of volunteers to help with packet stuffing and pick-up, race set up and take down, water stations, holding directional signs to guide runners along the course, loading busses.
Volunteers for the Family Fun Fair will be helping with games (such as: Giant Bubble, Fish Pond, Corn Hole, Nerf Shoot, Angry Birds) and to run the Snow Cone and Popcorn stations.
Volunteers should be age 16 or older.

Proceeds from the race benefit our Wasatch House program (an ICCD-certified Clubhouse). Wasatch House provides a strengths based approach for adults based on the international Clubhouse model in which people with mental illness are involved in running a program that meets their recreational, social, and vocational needs. Both clients and staff are referred to as ‘members’ and work together in the daily running of the clubhouse. The emphasis is placed on developing work skills and job opportunities for the members, including both transitional and supportive employment programs.
