Volunteer Need:
We're looking for volunteers to support our Reading club this summer program from July 6 through July 31.
Volunteers will assist students in reading and keep track of their reading logs. We have a main Volunteer for this class, but we want to have a good ratio of children and volunteers so they can feel more open to read.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, connect with students, and make a positive impact; all in just one hour a day.
Volunteer Expectations:
Volunteers must email Sofi Acuna at sofia@unitedwayuc.org and complete our organization's registration process (separate from this website). The link is below.
Be mindful that a background check is required, and we will email you the link to complete it.
We ask volunteers to commit to one consistent day each week (Tuesday, or Thursday) for the duration of the program, from July 6 through July 31. For example, if you choose Tuesdays, we ask that you volunteer every Tuesday during the duration of the program. Or if you are available to help all two days, we will really appreciate your help.
