The BIG Difference You can Make

For more than 40 years, we’ve have been bringing mentors (Bigs) into the lives of children (Littles) ages 6-18 facing multiple risk factors. Bigs and Littles meet in the community, at a school, or at a workplace; they usually see each other two or three times per month. The Big and Little as a “mentoring match” form a friendship, work towards goals, and teach each other all kinds of things! And all along the way BBBSU staff are in regular contact offering training and support.

We know mentorship sounds HUGE, but the truth is... It Takes Little to be Big.

1-in-3 kids in the US are growing up without a mentor. Mentorship is one of the most powerful tools to bridge the gap between people and possibility. When you give a little time, a listening ear, a word of advice, you help ensure that every child receives the support and resources they need to thrive.

What We Do

Become a BIG (Mentor)

You don’t need to have a specific title, degree or special qualifications. You don’t have to be perfect, only present for a minimum commitment of one year.

Choose a Mentoring Program

For as little as four hours a month you could make a BIG difference.
