Who We Are

Digital Literacy offers beginner and advanced adult computer classes throughout Utah Valley to help individuals in our community gain confidence in their ability to navigate and use a computer and the internet to apply for jobs, be safe online, and connect with others.

We are looking for volunteers to teach or help with classes! We provide trainings and easy to use Powerpoint lessons for each class.

We also need people to come test or fix the computers we give to students in need! Testing only requires basic knowledge of computers.

Digital Literacy is a part of United Way of Utah County. For more than 50 years, United Way of Utah County has been involved in creating lasting change in our community. We partner with people and organizations from all across the community to make the greatest difference. We focus on building financially stable families, preparing children to succeed in school and beyond and creating a healthy community. Our Digital Literacy Program helps strengthen our community by closing the digital divide in Utah Valley.

What We Do

  • Provide free 10-week long classes in English, Spanish, and Russian across Utah County
  • Teach students how to use digital tools, be safe while connected to the internet, and use technology to apply and prepare for jobs
  • Distribute refurbished computers to our graduating students who do not have a computer
  • Celebrate our students and volunteers at our Digital Literacy Graduation!
