United Way Payson Community Center is seeking a passionate volunteer to lead a Kids Ballet Folklórico class. This volunteer-led class introduces children to Mexican culture through traditional folk dance, music, and movement in a fun, supportive environment.
The volunteer will guide children through basic steps, simple choreography, and cultural traditions while helping them build confidence, coordination, and a love for dance.
Time Commitment:
• 1 hour per week
• Flexible scheduling
Responsibilities:
• Lead a weekly Ballet Folklórico class for children
• Teach basic dance steps and simple routines
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive space
• Share cultural traditions through music and movement
Qualifications:
• Experience with Ballet Folklórico or Mexican folk dance preferred
• Enjoy working with children
• Patient, energetic, and reliable
• Teaching experience helpful but not required
