Create Activities to Help Kids Learn About Sequencing

Community Impact: Welcome Baby supports healthy parent-child relationships and early development by providing families with tools, education, and encouragement. One way we do this is through Ready To Learn parenting workshops a program where parents receive free children's books and fun, hands-on activities to help their children learn and grow through play. After joining our workshop about emerging literacy skills, parents take these activities home to help their children learn about sequencing.

Do you love working with young children and building connections with families? Join our team as a Playgroup Leader Volunteer and help create a joyful, enriching space where children can learn, grow, and thrive through play!

As a Playgroup Leader, you’ll:

Lead Fun & Interactive Sessions: Bring energy and creativity as you guide children through songs, crafts, and storytelling designed just for their developmental stage.

Promote the Power of Play: Spread the word about the value of playgroups, helping families connect and feel welcome in the community.

Support Child Development: Use engaging activities to nurture social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a playful, hands-on environment.

Create a Safe, Inclusive Space: Help ensure every family feels seen, safe, and supported during each session.

Connect with Parents & Caregivers: Offer a listening ear, share helpful insights, and encourage caregiver involvement throughout the playgroup experience.

We ask for a minimum 1-year commitment for this role, as consistency is vital to building trust and community with the families we serve.

To show our appreciation, playgroup leaders receive a small monthly stipend for their time and dedication.

Whether you're looking to give back, gain experience, or simply enjoy time with little ones, this is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact!
