The mission of Special Olympics Utah is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
What We Do
Through sports training and competition, Special Olympics Utah helps people with intellectual disabilities find joy, acceptance and success. Our athletes are empowered to share their many gifts and talents with their communities. Ultimately, Special Olympics is more than sports training and competition, it is a movement that can transform communities by inspiring people throughout the world to open their minds, accept and include people with intellectual disabilities, and thereby celebrate the similarities common to all people.
